“Nature is Culture” in Marengo to celebrate the Patron of Italy

Four events to celebrate Saint Francis of Assisi: the agenda set by the Christian Workers’ Movement (MCL) in Alexandria combines devotion to culture to dedicate sensitivity also to nature.
Friday 4 October 2024 at 11 the statue “Saint Francis mands the wolf” will be honored by the school enrolled in the comprehensive institute “Carducci – Vochieri”. The ceremony is promoted by the Committee for Honors to commemorate also the parentesi alessandrina (XIII century) for the poor man of Assisi. The solemn mass will be concelebrated by Monsignor Guido Gallese (Bishop of Alessandria) at 18:00 at the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (San Francesco street – Alessandria).
Saturday 5 to 15 on the second floor of villa Delavo will be inaugurated the exhibition of bonsai and works transferred from gipsoteca Giulio Monteverde (Bistagno).
The journalist Efrem Bovo (Union of European Journalists and Communicators – Ujce) will moderate the voices of Bruno Paradiso (first President Mcl), Marco Mazzoni (Mcl), Otto Bugnano (gipsoteca Monteverde), Mirco Ulandi (friends museum Gambarina), Renato Peola (Il sole dentro), Paolo Casarini and Nico Cavallerì (bonsai club Alessandria) at the talk ”Nature is Culture” introduced by provincial president Piercarlo Fabbio (Mcl) at the Marengo auditorium at 17:30.
The guided tour (Sunday 6 from 15 to 18) at the Marengo Museum is the epilogue to the events also called Cathedra Alexandriae and sponsored by the Province of Alexandria.
