On May 10, during the event “Give a Sense to Life: Respect it” in the main hall of the municipality of Pistoia, Gigi Marzullo author of the book ”La vita è un sogno, Incontri sottovoce” recived the Special Prize culture XV edition “Giornata ANS Del Libro 2022”. The author was awarded by Antonio Polifrone, curator of the ANS Prize.
Marzullo is a journalist and host of the television program ‘’Sottovoce’’, and other famous broadcasts. For years his interviews have been a symbol of the Rai programming of the night, but also of the evening, since Marzullo is a guest at “Che tempo che fa”. The book aims to celebrate this piece of public television history with a collection of the most beautiful interviews of Marzullo, to characters such as Richard Gere, Monica Vitti, Woody Allen.
The primary aim of this literary and cultural event is to create a circuit of primary exchange between authors, books and readers (public), in order to bring out the strength and importance of written language and communication through writing, heritage of humanity, fundamental tool in transferring information, history and experience; in an era like the one we are living, dominated by the culture of image and appearance. On the other hand, thanks to the advent of social networks and new media, writing, in particular through tablets and smartphones, has reaffirmed itself as the main medium.
Finally, the motivation of the recognition to the author: thanks to the use of writing he spreads knowledge, setting in motion reflections, trying to stimulate emotions.
