The first trip of Teresa Grillo Michel will be repeated on Sunday, September 22: the itinerary (4.5 km) spread from the heart of Spinetta to his native house was suggested to pilgrims to celebrate the 125th anniversary for the Pontifical Religious Institute for Women “Little Divine Providence” (P.S.D.P.) established (8 January 1899) by the Blessed Sister of Alessandria together with eight (here the watchful eye drops on the cyclic number for the Napoleonic epic) devoted collaborators. The human adventure of Teresa Grillo widow Michel (Alessandria, 25 September 1855 – 25 January 1944), already lady-in-waiting at the court of Margherita di Savoia (the first queen consort of Italy), is marked by abjuration to the bourgeois life to embrace religiosity, to assist the needy of any age. The fifth daughter of Giuseppe (head of the civil hospital in Alessandria) and Antonietta (descendant of the ancient and aristocratic family Parvopassu) is born at the estate Cavallerotta (so defined because it was established on the area liberated by the Habsburg cavalry dispersed by the French militia at the battle of Marengo and today a place dedicated to pilgrimage) and receives the first sacrament from the priest don Lorenzo Molfettani (the Church of the Nativity of Mary in Spinetta Marengo preserves the act of baptism and the glass mosaic dedicated to Blessed Mother Michel). The excursion organized by the associations Uisp (committee Alessandria and Asti) and Soletrekking will start at 15 from the church above.
