Grande Boucle, anniversary 121 in Marengo

1 July 1903, 3:16 am: the starter Georges Abran opens the Tour de France (first edition) from the Café Reveil Matin to the village of Montgeron near Paris.
1 July 2024, 2:00 pm: the yellow procession of cyclists enrolled in the Grande Boucle lapped the Villa Delavo in Marengo and the statue of Napoleon First Consul installed in the courtyard of honor decorated with the huge banner stretched to accommodate the race to the most prestigious stages of cycling for men professional on the road.
The transit on the Napoleonic site was flown by the team of four helicopters: the finish line at the third stage Piacenza – Turin (231 km.) was cut by the Eritrean athlete Biniam Girmay Hailu.
